The next meeting for the Cancer Support Group is Monday, January 12, at 4:00 PM in the conference room at Milbank Area Hospital. The group invites anyone who has been affected by cancer whether it’s yourself, friend of someone, or family members to discuss solutions to cancer problems, a safe environment to express emotions, and methods to regain life/move on post treatment. This group will meet on the second Monday of every month through April.

Back in October, It Only Takes A Spark donated $10,277 towards the purchase for 3 chairs to be utilized during chemotherapy treatments at the Milbank Area Hospital Avera. These chairs will aid in comfort of the patient during the entire process of treatment, offering heat, massage, and/or reclining options, along with a TV mount. The Milbank Area Hospital Avera expects these to be installed into the existing hospital and then utilized in the new hospital.

Back in September, It Only Takes A Spark donated $2,500 to the local cancer support group coordinated with Milbank Area Hospital. The group has been a great resource for those affected, both directly and indirectly, by cancer. The support group meets on the second Monday of each month.
